Each week, the local hill tribes and Thais descend upon the town of Chiang Dao to sell everything possibly imaginable. They sell everything under the sun. Cheap clothes, cheap food, and hard to find hill tribe goods are found at rock bottom prices in this very local market that remains unspoiled by hordes of tourists. The town literally transforms into a completely different element. Most of the time Chiang Dao remains a sleepy little town with very little traffic, but when this market is in full force, it can be difficult to even drive!
