Doi Chiang Dao is Thailand's 3rd tallest mountain. It is a breathtaking site. It is popular with bird watchers and hikers alike. It is a two day trip up to the top. The trekking is great if you have a few people. It is not recommended to go alone, as you never really know what might happen. It will cost you 200 baht to gain entrance to the national park. You can grab a guide for 500 baht per day. There are a couple of campsites on the mountain, so it is advisable to go ahead and stop by the wildlife office and inquire while you are there paying the entrance fee.
